High School Musicarol: Act 1, Scene 1

scene description:
It’s the last day of high school at North Pole High. Zac the elf boy is in his last class just before the final bell rings…ZAC’S TEACHER:
Just remember class that as you move on to bigger and more christmasy things that [bell rings] Oh, there’s the jingle bell. Class dismissed!

[Cheers]

ZAC:    [to the teacher]
Thanks for the great year, Mr. Fudge. I really enjoyed your class it was just so awesome.

ZAC’S TEACHER:
Thank you, Mr. Elfron. I’ll miss you and your friends’ bursts of song and dance that followed the end of each chapter throughout the year.

VANESSA: [Flirtatiously]
Hey there Zac, my awesome boyfriend. I guess that does it for our high school education and it’s on to bigger and better things.ZAC:
Yeah…I guess…actually I never really thought about that. Between being the lead in the school musical, captain of the state championship basketball team, valedictorian, and being your boyfriend, I really didn’t have time to put much thought into it.

VANESSA:
I know how you feel. Since I was in the musical and on the science team, I barely had time to apply and get admitted to Saint Nick’s Academy. Things just creep up on you so fast. [giggle] Will I be seeing you at the Academy?

ZAC:
I don’t know. Like I was just saying, I haven’t had time to think about it. I don’t know where I’m going to go just yet.

[Awkward pause]

VANESSA:
Sounds like you have a lot of thinking to do. Good thing this is the North Pole where everything always seems to work out right. Now, why don’t you give me a sleigh ride home…

ZAC:
Sure thing. I would be happy to. Well, as long as you don’t mind hearing those sleigh bells jingling and ring-ting-tingling.

VANESSA:
Oh Zac. I would never mind that as long as I’m with you.

[Song: sleigh bells by Harry Connick, Jr.]
