FAQs:

1. Why Porcelain Throne Books?

I like reading, but whenever I try to read a novel I have a tendency to fall asleep.  Because of this, I am sometimes reluctant to start a book. So I  typically read magazines more than books (Entrepreneur, National Geographic, Popular Science, etc). They are easy to carry around and I can read an entire article in one sitting. Although this may be TMI, I often read these magazine while sitting atop the porcelain throne.

In the year 2008, and I remember this like yesterday, my brother gave me a book called Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists by Gideon Defoe. It’s a short, comical book about–surprise!–pirates in an adventure with scientists. Instead of taking magazines with me, I took the book on my bathroom breaks. The physical size and brevity of the book made it perfect for reading on the john. Plus it was hilarious. After only about three bathroom breaks, I had finished the book and was ready for more.

Then, I tried my hand at writing my own pirate book (it was actually for a class). I would joke that people could read the book in just a few bathroom sittings. That’s where the idea for Porcelain Throne Books came to mind. I thought I could create short books and stories that can be read in just a few bathroom sittings!

2. But do you even sell books?

Actually you can buy my book Buccaneer Dan the Most Fierce and Good-Looking Buccaneer of All Time in a Quest for Treasure Part 1 on Amazon Kindle (or you can read in here on my blog).  I will likely offer other things for sale as time goes on. Who knows?

3. Wait a minute, who are you anyway?

Leland Faux. Some say I am the most popular half-Filipino/attorney/former-podcaster/author on the internet today. Actually, I’m the only who has ever said that. I used to say I was the world’s #1 half-Filipino podcaster, but then I found out Pat Flynn is also half-Filipino so I had to distinguish myself with the other stuff.

Most of my time is spent as an attorney. I do business law and litigation. My favorite part of being a lawyer is helping entrepreneurs manage the legal aspects of running a business and helping them resolve disputes. This website is my creative outlet. It’s really just for fun…and it is fun, at least for me.
