High School Musicarol: Act 1, Scene 2

[Door opens and closes]

ZAC:
Mom! I’m home and I’m done with high school!

ZAC’S MOM:
Oh that’s wonderful!

ZAC:
That I’m home or that I’m done with school?

ZAC:
But I’m afraid I have bad news too.

ZAC’S MOM:
[gasps] What is it, my dear?

ZAC:
It’s just that between being the lead in the high school musical, captain of the state championship basketball team, valedictorian, and being Vanessa’s boyfriend, I haven’t had much time to think about which college I’m going to go to.

ZAC’S MOM:
Oh son. Fortunately I took the liberty to apply to some schools for you. I put their admission letters on your bed.

ZAC:
Wow Mom! You’re the best! I am going to walk up the stairs and look right now.

[footsteps]

Let’s see what we have here

[Letters rip open. Papers rustles.]

Wow! These are some of the best and most respected elf schools around: Legolas’ School of Weaponry, E.L. Fudge University, College of KB Toys, Martha Stewart’s Academy of Decorators, and University of Phoenix-online. And it looks like they’re all offering me full-ride scholarships! I guess being the lead in the school musical, captain of the state championship basketball team, valedictorian, and Vanessa’s boyfriend has really paid off.

[pause] But which one to attend? I’m just going to lie down [yawn] here on my comfy bed [yawn] and think about it while being still, still still…

[snoring]
